The 5th Annual Shenzhen Chess Tournament Approaching
The annual Shenzhen tournament will test your mettle against the best expat and Chinese competition in the city. The tournament utilizes six rounds of the Swiss System of play. Each match consists of 60 minutes with 30 minutes allotted to each contestant. This type of play is exciting and provides an enjoyable pace for tournament play.
We
welcome all expat, international, and Chinese chess players at any level to participate.
Players will be divided into adults (men’s and women’s divisions) and children’s
division based on age. Special guest Shilan Liu, the first Chinese woman chess
grandmaster, will attend the tournament as an observer.
Entry
to the tournament is free and all participants will receive gifts for
participating. The champion player will additionally receive a medal, trophy
and certificate of achievement.
