Frequently Used Chinese Sentences – Housework

It’s such a fussy work to deal with chores, so we’d like to decline every time. However, when you’re told to do such house work, it is usually not easy to be avoided. My mother said Every time she try to get my father to do his chores, the scene degenerates into an extended nagging session and sometimes an all-out fight. Maybe they should do it by turn. So today let’s learn some expressions about doing housework.

nǐ nénɡ qù wèi wèi ɡǒu mɑ ？
1.你能去喂喂狗吗？
(Can you feed the dog?)

tā měi tiān zǎo shɑnɡ dōu yào chū qu liū ɡǒu ！
2.他每天早上都要出去溜狗！
(He goes to walk the dog every morning!)

wǒ jīn wǎn yào chū qù yí xià ， kě yǐ bānɡ wǒ zhào kàn yí xià hái zi mɑ ？
3.我今晚要出去一下，可以帮我照看一下孩子吗？
(I need to go out tonight. Would you please take after my children for a while?)

qǐnɡ ɡěi zhí wù jiāo diǎn er shuǐ 。
4.请给植物浇点儿水。
(Please water the plants.)

nǐ de fánɡ jiān zěn me zhè me luàn ā ？
5.你的房间怎么这么乱啊？
(Why is your room so messy?)

qǐnɡ bǎ nǐ de wū zi shōu shi shōu shi 。
6.请把你的屋子收拾收拾。
(Please clean up your room.)

nǐ nénɡ bǎ yī fu liànɡ qǐ lái mɑ ？
7.你能把衣服晾起来吗？
(Can you hang your clothes out?)

nǐ nénɡ bǎ nǐ zì jǐ de yī fu dié qǐ lái mɑ ？
8.你能把你自己的衣服叠起来吗？
(Can you fold your own clothes?)

wǒ děi yònɡ xī chén qì dǎ sǎo wǒ de fánɡ jiān 。
9.我得用吸尘器打扫我的房间。
(I have to clean my room with a vacuum cleaner.)

qǐnɡ bānɡ wǒ men cā cā ɡuì zi ， tuō tuō dì 。
10.请帮我们擦擦柜子，拖拖地。
(Please wipe the shelves, and mop the floor.)

wǒ men qù chāo shì mǎi diǎn er dōnɡ xi bɑ ！
11.我们去超市买点儿东西吧！
(Let’s go to buy something at the supermarket!)

nǐ kě yǐ bānɡ wǒ bǎ yǐ zi bān jìn lái mɑ ？
12.你可以帮我把椅子搬进来吗？
(Can you please move my chairs in?)

jiā lǐ de niú nǎi kuài méi yǒu le ， hái děi zài mǎi diǎn er 。
13.家里的牛奶快没有了，还得再买点儿。
(The milk running out, we need to buy some to home.)

nǐ de yī fu xǐ hǎo le mɑ ？
14.你的衣服洗好了吗？
(Did you wash your clothes?)

yánɡ tái shànɡ de huā jiāo le mɑ ？
15.阳台上的花浇了吗？
(Did you water the flower at the balcony?)

jīn tiān wǎn shɑnɡ nǐ lái zuò fàn ， wǒ xiǎnɡ xiū xi yí xià 。
16.今天晚上你来做饭，我想休息一下。
(You can cook the supper. I want t have a rest.)

wǒ zuò fàn ， nǐ xǐ wǎn ， hǎo mɑ ？
17.我做饭，你洗碗，好吗？
(I cook the meal, and you wash the dishes, is it ok?)

xǐ yī jī lǐ miàn de yī fu hǎo le ， nǐ kě yǐ ná chū lái mɑ ？
18.洗衣机里面的衣服好了，你可以拿出来吗？
(The laundry done, can you take them out?)

jiā lǐ méi cài le ， xià bān huí jiā de shí hou nǐ nénɡ qù mǎi diǎn er mɑ ？
19.家里没菜了，下班回家的时候你能去买点儿吗？
(There is no food at home. Can you buy some after work?)

xià yǔ le ， jì dé shōu yī fu 。
20.下雨了，记得收衣服。
(It’s raining, remember to take clothes back.)
